What is psoriasis?

Psoriasis is a skin disease, where an overactive immune system causes the skin to grow many times faster than normal.1

This can cause plaque psoriasis, the most common form of psoriasis, which produces red, raised and scaly patches of skin that can appear anywhere on the body, and as well as other forms of psoriasis.1,2
